My name is Kenz and I've been writing *NSYNC fan fiction since January 2003. I opened my first website, Mad Season Fiction, at Geocities as an archive for my stories in March 2003. In July 2003 I was hosted at dncrgirl.org and opened Wasted Headspace, which I then moved to faded-emulations.net in February 2004. In December 2004 Nikki saved me from oblivion and Wasted Headspace moved to Tasting-eden.com where I spent a happy year and a half, before deciding it was time to branch out to my own domain. Dancing-with-shadows.com opened in July 2006.
The name "Dancing With Shadows" comes from the Robbie Williams song, Knutsford City Limits.

I thought this was a cool name for the site because while I may write about real people, my characters are like shadows of them in that they have aspects and qualities of that person, but have also been manipulated into fictional characters.
I write because I like to, though at the same time I do like to be good at whatever I'm doing so I'm desperately trying to improve. I'm well aware that I have a long way to go before I'm any good at this writing thing so any advice or criticism is welcomed. I like to try new things with my stories; I'm trying to see what works and what doesn't. I really just like to have fun with it. I don't take any of this too seriously and while I want to improve, I know that fan fiction is pretty trivial in the grand scheme of things. I just hope that other people might enjoy reading what I have enjoyed writing.
At the minute I'm knee-deep in Disenchanted Lullaby. I've been working over it for well over a year now and I'm sure some people are getting sick of it but it's just not finished yet. In between times, I'm written a few short stories that I really had fun with.
Y'know...it's not rocket science, it doesn't save lives and it's not going change the world...but it's escapism, and that's good enough for me.
